  • Satomi Hofmann, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, is of Japanese and German descent- or as she puts it: a Sushi Schnitzel. Growing up, she played piano and was on a youth pre-professional track to become a classical pianist. However in high school, she discovered theater and chose to combine her passions (theater, acting, and music) and obtained her B.A. in Theater from UCLA.

Not long after, Satomi landed the role of leading lady opposite original Phantom Michael Crawford in EFX at the MGM, Las Vegas during which she worked closely with Crawford and, later, David Cassidy.

It was in Las Vegas that she co-founded the all-female Celtic rock band, Killian’s Angels. The band became a popular local favorite, won National Radio Honors for their Celtic take on the Jeopardy theme song, and were featured in the soundtracks of Grand Theft Auto IV and CBS’s Elementary.

After a decade in Las Vegas, Satomi moved to New York City where she joined the company of Broadway’s longest running musical: The Phantom of the Opera. She was a mainstay in the production and a part of the show’s closing cast. By the time of the show’s closing in April 2023, Satomi had appeared in an impressive 3,642 performances.

Satomi also boasts an extensive career on screen as well. Her television credits include: an upcoming Netflix series, Law & Order: Organized Crime, and FBI: Most Wanted, among others. Her film credits include M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin, Up in the Hills, and the short film The Fast Track Program for which she received multiple nominations for Best Actress. Most recently, she can be seen starring in the political whodunnit, Death on the Brandywine.

Satomi is currently starring in Masquerade NYC, the world’s first immersive musical and multi-award nominee and winner, including Drama Desk and Dorian Theater Awards.
